SOLUTIONS

Secure facilities and readiness,
from first question to accredited space.

We scope, design and manage construction of secure facilities and classified spaces to ICD-705, prepare the accreditation package, coordinate with the Accrediting Official, and sustain the space after occupancy. We also help companies prepare for cleared work, and we step into projects that have stalled.

I.SECURE FACILITIES

Plan, build and carry a secure facility to accreditation.

Start with nothing: no clearance, no site, no drawings. Or bring a project at any stage, including one that has stalled. One team, one contract, one evidence chain.

II.READINESS AND ADVISORY

Get ready for cleared work, or decide before you commit capital.

Advisory is delivered by the people who also build: business positioning, security and compliance readiness, facility strategy, and program and acquisition support. The free tools organize the same questions early, when the answers are still cheap to act on.

III.WHERE TO START

Not sure where to start? Pick the closest question.

Bring the problem as it exists. A stalled facility, a failed accreditation path, construction left incomplete, a compliance problem you inherited, a classified requirement discovered after award, a transaction involving cleared assets, a FOCI concern, software that cannot use cloud services, facility and program schedules that no longer line up, a vendor that failed, an urgent surge. It does not need to fit a catalog.

IV.HOW AN ENGAGEMENT RUNS

What working with us looks like.

  1. Tell us the requirement and where it stands. A short conversation, at an unclassified planning level, about what the space or program has to do and its starting condition.
  2. We scope it against your actual starting point. Site, posture, region and what the accrediting authority will require drive the schedule and cost. We tell you what drives it, then commit to a date we can hold and report against it.
  3. Design and build, with the evidence assembled as we go. Fixed, mobile or modular, self-performed or through cleared partners, always under one Salian contract and one accountable line.
  4. Accreditation. We present the package with you and stay in the room for the review. The determination belongs to the accrediting authority.
  5. Sustainment. Re-inspections, configuration changes and the day-to-day that keeps a facility in good standing for the life of the program.

Useful to have ready

Unclassified only. Do not send classified information or CUI through this website or by email. Describe the requirement at a planning level.

DCSA, or the applicable Cognizant Security Agency, determines facility clearances. The applicable Accrediting Official or Cognizant Security Authority accredits the facility. Authorizing Officials authorize systems, and an authorized C3PAO or the Department of Defense certifies CMMC status. We prepare, build, coordinate and document, and stay through the determination.

V.COMMON QUESTIONS

Facilities and accreditation, answered.

What standards does Salian Defense build secure facilities to?
Secure facilities are designed and built to ICD-705 and its technical specifications (TSPM), then carried to accreditation with the AO/CSA, with the security plan mapped to NIST SP 800-53 and aligned to CMMC 2.0 readiness for cleared industry. We also help identify and prepare for facility clearance (FCL) sponsorship for entrants with no prior cleared posture.
Does Salian Defense handle modular or mobile SCIFs?
Yes. Salian coordinates vault-grade modular SCIFs, mobile and CONEX-based units, container SCIF leasing, and portable enclosures when the mission profile calls for them. We either build to ICD-705 directly or coordinate qualified suppliers under one accountable line, one schedule, and one contract.
How fast can Salian Defense reach SCIF occupancy?
Timeline depends on starting posture, scope, region, and what the accrediting authority requires. Salian scopes the schedule against your actual starting condition, tells you what drives it, then commits to a date it can hold and reports against it. Planning ranges for design through accreditation are published on the SCIF design and build page.
How much does a SCIF cost to build?
There is no honest flat number. The real drivers are size, starting posture (new build, retrofit of existing space, or rescue of a stalled project), RF and acoustic requirements, region, and schedule. Salian publishes a free Project Estimator, powered by Vates Cognition, at saliandefense.com/vates.html that returns a Rough Order of Magnitude range from a short intake, before any commitment. For a firm figure, write contact@saliandefense.com and we scope it honestly.
Does Salian Defense provide outsourced FSO, CSSO, or ITPSO support?
Yes. Salian provides co-employed Facility Security Officer (FSO), Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO), and Insider Threat Program Senior Official (ITPSO) services through a cleared captive partner, with UL 2050 and UL 1076 specification, FOCI mitigation, ITAR/EAR advisory, and physical security engineering.
Does Salian Defense stand up and run industrial security programs?
Yes. Salian helps clients create and maintain NISPOM industrial security programs, supports their self-inspections, and prepares them for DCSA security reviews under 32 CFR Part 117. We provide Facility Security Officer (FSO) support, personnel and facility clearance administration, Key Management Personnel coverage, and cleared staff augmentation sized to the program, plus counterintelligence, insider threat program development, technical surveillance countermeasures (TSCM), and FOCI mitigation.
