Water Hawk synthesizes EPA SDWIS, NPDES discharge monitoring reports, Form 990 spending disclosures, state PUC filings, USGS withdrawals, and Census water-utility classifications. We never operate inside a utility's systems and never store proprietary supplier data. The result is a uniform national scoring grid that does not depend on any single utility's willingness to share.

What is Water Hawk?
Water Hawk is an intelligence product covering United States public water infrastructure. It scores every public water system on chemical-supplier exposure and discharge posture, compiled entirely from public sources and delivered as decision-grade briefs. It runs at waterhawk.io and is an affiliated venture of Salian Defense rather than a Praesidium Suite product.
Where does Water Hawk's data come from?
Public sources only. Water Hawk compiles from published federal and state regulatory records, permit filings, and disclosure data. It does not ingest utility-supplied data, does not require a relationship with the systems it scores, and holds no operational or control-system information. That constraint is what lets it cover every public water system rather than only cooperating ones.
Who uses Water Hawk?
Three audiences read the same picture differently: investors and acquirers assessing infrastructure exposure, suppliers and service providers sizing a market, and public-sector and security analysts looking at critical-infrastructure risk. The underlying scoring is the same; the brief is framed to the question being asked.
What is chemical-supplier exposure?
Chemical-supplier exposure measures how concentrated a water system's treatment chemical supply is, and how vulnerable that concentration makes it to a disruption at a single supplier or in a single supply corridor. A system with one viable source for a critical treatment chemical carries a different risk profile than one with several, even when both are fully compliant today.
Is Water Hawk part of the Praesidium Suite?
No. Water Hawk is an affiliated venture built by the same team, alongside RFI Hawk and Project Hawk. The Praesidium Suite is the six-product line of software built for accredited and air-gapped environments. Water Hawk works from public data and has no accredited-environment deployment.
